Lingchuan county is located in the north of Guilin and Qingshitan town is newly founded in the northwest of this county in 2005.The dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan) belongs to the category of Ping dialect of north Guangxi. Represented by Xianan village administered by Yanshan village committee of Qingshitan town, this paper describes and explains the state of phonetics in detail on the basis of serious and delicate investigation. The author hopes to provide some fundamental materials for the further study of Ping dialect of north Guangxi in this paper.This paper consists of seven chapters:The first chapter: introduction.This chapter mainly introduces Lingchuan's and Qingshitan's location, history and condition of population, etc. Subsequently, it briefly expounds the present situation of researches on Ping dialect of north Guangxi, including achievement and inadequacy. At last, it presents conditions of the informant and signs used in this paper.The second chapter: the phonology of the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan).This paper describes systematically initial consonant, simple or compound vouel and the tone of phonology, states the harmonious relation of phonology and makes the syllabary.The chapter three: the sandhi of the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan).The chapter consists of two sections, Section one introduces the general laws of liaison sandhi of two-character groups and exceptions, and also makes sandhi form for them. Section two explains several kinds of variant pronunciation.The chapter four: the syllabary of the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan).This chapter includes mainly the syllabary and its introduction.The chapter five: the comparison between the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan) and pronunciation in the ancient times.This chapter compares the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan) and pronunciation in the Middle ancient times and also includes the comparison of initial consonant, simple or compound vowel, and tune of phonology between them. It still analyses their evolution from ancient pronunciation to present pronunciation and makes a comparison form.The chapter six: the phonological features of the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan).This chapter gives comprehensive generalization and description to the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan) on the basis of the preceding chapter.The chapter seven: the present situation of the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan) and the category to which it belongs.This chapter is a summary of the whole paper, analyzing the present situation and the category to which it belongs, pointing out the perishing tendency of the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan) and gives the final attribute of the dialect of Qingshitan (Yanshan), that is, Ping dialect of north Guangxi.
