This research made an investigation on the relationship among social behavior of pupil, teacher-pupil relationship and the degree of acceptance by their companions through the variable-oriented and person-oriented analytical technique.The subjects of this research were selected from grade two to grade six of a primary school in Changchun. Masten's Class Play Scale-Revised questionnaire and peer nomination method were used to appraise children's positive social behavior, aggressive behavior, sensitively-back behavior, the teacher-student relationship and the peer acceptance degree. Through cluster analysis, children were divided into different social behavior groups.The major findings were as follows:1. In social behavior, girls had more positive social behavior and sensitively-back behavior and less aggressive behavior than boys. In teacher-student relationship, girls built close relationship with teachers more easily than boys and less likely built conflict and dependent relationship with teachers. In peer acceptance, girls were more popular and less likely to be rejected than boys. Children who are popular are more likely to build close relationship than others, while children who are rejected by peers are more likely to build conflict and dependent relationship.2. Children with more positive social behavior were more popular among peers and established a close teacher-student relationship, at the same time avoiding conflict teacher-student relationship. Children with more aggressive behavior were more likely to be rejected by peers and established a conflict and dependent relationship. Children of higher grade with sensitively-back behavior are more likely to be rejected by peers.3. With progress of the grade, the associated degree between social behavior and the teacher-student relationship and peer acceptance declined.4. Easy to become popular, rejected, controversial, and general type of social behavior portfolio of peer acceptance were: high active social behavior type (P1A0W0 and P2A0W0),both high social and high-back behavior type (P1A0W1);high aggressive behavior type (P0A1W0 and P0A2W0),both high aggressive and high-back behavior type(P0A1W1); non-significant features behavior type (P0A0W0). Not easy to become popular, rejected, controversial, and general type of social behavior portfolio of peer acceptance were: non-significant features behavior type (P0A0W0); high active social behavior type (P1A0W0); high aggressive behavior type (P0A1W0 and P0A2W0) and high active social behavior type (P2A0W0).5. Children of both high aggressive and high-back behavior type (P0A1W1) were easily rejected by peers in the low grade. After they entered high grade, they became controversial behavior type.
