Research On The Dialect's Pronunciation In Wangcheng County.Hunan Province

Wang Cheng County lies in the mid–northeast part of Hunan which shorets two banks of the XiangJiang river Downstream and belongs to ChangSha city HuNan province. WangCheng dialect is a part of the Xiang group in Chang -Yi region which close to the ChangSha dialect. The dialect were divided into 5 chips according to the internal difference of Wangcheng in Whangcheng County Annals of 1995.they are:HeXi tone-pattern,which represented by GaoTangling and HuangJing.HeDong tone-pattern,which represented by TongGuang and XiaNin. WeiZi tone-pattern,which represented by QiaoKou and JingKang.MaoTian tone-pattern,which represented by Matian.XiangTang tone-pattern,which represented by TaiPing and PingTang. But when we investigate the dialect of all-around the coutry,we found that it was still existing some negligences in the Whangcheng County Annals of 1995.Basis on the allover investigationof the WangCheng ,we selected the coutry regional scale mainly where adjoining to WangCheng country and existing differences from the country town's dialect .what's more,they were not reflected by the Whangcheng County Annals of 1995.these country are ChaTing town and DongCheng town in north,GeTang town,QiaoKou town and JingGang town in the northwest, BaiZRouPu town and YuChangping town in southwest. HanPu town and PingTang town in south.On the basis of the investigation of 4000 words,we also made the investigation of the vocabulary.then we compared the phonological system with the GaoTangling town dialect used to show the panorama of phonological system in WangCheng country.we also try to explain the cause of the differences do my best which may provide some new foundation in further research.The paper includes four chapters and an appendix .The first chapter is introduction.This part introduces WangCheng country and geograpy,populations,historical course,situation of language being used.It also introduces the present studies on theWangCheng dialect , the emphasis and the main purpose of our research. The second chapter is phonological system.In this part,we list the initials , finals and tone of GaoTangling dialect, and describe the phonological characters of it.Then,syllabary of homophones is made to give detail materials for understanding phonetic structure of GaoTangling dialect .This article also makes a comparative analysis with the Whangcheng County Annals of 1995. on the basis on the comparation,we found that there are some differences between the two materials. We describe these differences and makes every effort to present the realistic appearance of dialect.The third chapter makes a comparison between the Wangcheng County local accent and Middle Ages. From the initial consonant, the final, the intonation tripartite carries on the comparison in turn facing the GaoTangling town local accent with the ancient pronunciation, then summarizes its evolution characteristic.The forth chapter are the comparison among the 5 dialect chips in Whangcheng County Annals of 1995 and attempts to makes a explanation about the differences.Then.it gives the new revision comment to Whangcheng County Annals of 1995: Although the Whangcheng County Annals of 1995 took attention to the pronunciation characteristic of five small pieces. what because of adopting traditional way and ingoring the detailed investigation of the pronunciation phenomenon ,therefore the result is not comprehensive. First,the five small pieces in Whangcheng County Annals of 1995 has a lot of revise place. Second,forms the reason and the phonetic feature , five small pieces changes into six small pieces will be more appropriate. the HeDong tone-pattern shall divide into two pieces, HeDong tone-pattern's ownership place is only restricted in the QiaoYi town﹑TingZi town﹑XinGang town and LaoDaohe town originally, the TongGuan town﹑ChaTing town and DongCheng town what belongs to HeDong tone-pattern originally shall independence to a new pieces,we called it XiangYin tone-pattern because of its adjoining to XiangYin country.The third is the ownership place of XiangTang tone-pattern in Whangcheng County Annals of 1995 shall change to the places of TaiPing﹑BaiQuan﹑LoJiazhui and south of the HanPu town. PingTang town﹑HanPu town﹑LianHua town may integrate into HeXi tone-pattern because of its'phonological characters.on the basis of the comparative analysis,we draw the preliminary study conclusion:Language contact is the reason of the internal differences of WangCheng town.
