Adverb is one of very important terms in Chinese, negative adverb is a special sub-class of adverb. The study of negative adverbs has been made some achievements, but is also a topic needed further study. Negative adverbs in Chinese dialects are rather complex, a number of problems still need further study.Chang-Yi dialects are typical Xiang dialects. This thesis studies negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects of Xiang dialects, through the study of negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects of Xiang dialects, analyzes the usage and characteristics of negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects, has some significance and value for revealing grammar characters of Chang-Yi dialects, studying grammar of Xiang dialects.This thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is introduction, describes the purpose and significance, introduces research methods and procedures, generalizes relevant literature review, describes an overview of Chang-Yi dialects, gives the definition and classification of negative adverbs. The second part is the description of negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects of Xiang dialects, describes negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects according to three classes of negative adverbs including "Bu", "Mao", "Mo", understands their distribution and usage. The third part is external comparison of Chang-Yi dialects of Xiang dialects, compares with other Xiang dialects, Mandarin and ancient Chinese. The fourth part is the conclusion, summarizes the overall conclusions and innovation, points out the prospects and the lack of the thesis.Negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects have strong consistency. Negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects "Bu", "Mao", "Mo" are equivalent to negative adverbs of Mandarin "Bu", "Mei(you)", "Bie". "Wu" is always spoken as a negative adverb in Yueyang County dialect, "Bu" is seen in some relatively fixed format and the text of the statement.Negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects have some differences compared with negative adverbs of other Xiang dialects, such as Lou-Shao dialects, and they are also different from negative adverbs of Mandarin.Negative adverbs of Chang-Yi dialects have inherited and developed negative adverbs of ancient Chinese.
