Higher vocational English is different from college English , it emphasizes in practicality rather than systematize. Under the guidance of School-based theory, the paper takes two typical cases for research objects, shows the context, process , interaction of higher vocational English teaching research and the rationality, pertinence and validity of the teaching behavior, appears the turning of teaching research from scientific mode to humanistic mode in the level of methodology.The paper firstly expounds that higher vocational English teaching should change from"How to teach knowledge?"to"How to understand student?". Then analyzes the origin of the research and the connotation, characters and values of the higher vocational English teaching in the School-based Visual Field. Afterwards, From investigating and studying the two cases:"Questioning in Classroom"and"Form of Homework"among the four similar colleges in Anhui province, by using the comparative method of educational research, the paper summarizes the principles of learner-base, process, motivation and strategy.The paper concludes that only based on the school's real problem, should the higher vocational English teaching have its practical value. The school-based teaching research roots in the facts of the school, serves the student and concentrates on the development of the school. It is the logic and connotation that the educative science and research ought to have.
