| With the development of global economy ,the competition in market becomes more and more furious。In order to survive, the corporation has to improve efficiency ,plays down the cost and looks for the strategy for dissimilarity。Information technology has a deep influence in corporation management radically and the IPD(integrated product development)based on PDM(product data management)is an important branch among them。In some advanced countries such as America ,in order to improve efficiency, some famous global company such as IBM and HP has carried out the reengineering in research based on the popular PACE theory 。Combined with the fact of corporation,they set up the IPD (integrated product development) theory and introduced it into china 。In china, the HUAWEI company took the lead in applying it into the reengineering in research and carried through a significative grope . The thesis focuses on how to combine the PACE theory with the practice of the corporation and is expected to improve the standard of research in china , especially in the reengineering in product development . The thesis is divided into four chapters, mainly discusses the issue of reengineering in product development both in theory and practice. In first chapter, we firstly introduce the progress for the PACE theory. Then we expatiate the difficulty of product development at present in china and point out the PACE theory is a right way to solve these problems. At last , we point out the aim of the thesis is to improve the ability of product development in china . In the second chapter, we mainly introduce the content of the PACE theory. Firstly, we introduce the trend of product development and point out that the product development calls for an efficient progress more and more. At the speed , the topping companies have a huge gap compared with other companies. The product development trends to be mature once . It needs to have a strong foresight before the product is put into the market. Then we introduce the dedication of the PACE theory in seven factors . The seven factors in product development include phase review and decision-making ,core team ,structural product development ,the means for design and automatic tools,the process for product's strategy ,technology management and channel management . In the phase review and decision-making , At first, we introduce the constitute of PAC and the responsibility of every member . Then we expatiate the connotation of phase review and features , divide the common process into several phases . We describe the commonness for the different phases. In the core team structure, we come up with the organizational structure for the project and have a deep analysis compared with traditional functional structure . Furthermore, we describe the principle of core team . At last, we have a deep study on several key factors which are essential for a core team to operate successfully. In the structural product development , we discuss the connotation and definition of structural product development firstly. Based on that, we divide the structural product development into four levels . It includes phase ,step,task and action level from the top down. Then we go further on the function of the detailed principle of product development in structural product development . At last , we have a deep analysis on t the control of the schedule and put forward a useful tool –the principle of time cycle which is applied to business at present. In the means for design and automatic tools , we discuss some useful means for design , such as QFD and DFE, which can improve the efficiency and avoid the fail at least. We also introduce some useful automatic tools such as ones for design ,ones for imitation and PDM (product data management) which is the base of information management . In the process for product strategy , we also divide it into four levels. From the top down, it shows up asbelow: the design of product strategy ,the strategy of product platform ,the strategy of product line ,the development of new product . Then we have a deep analysis on the relation of the four levels. In technology management , we expatiate the difference between the technology development and product development , at the same time, we have a correlative description on the technology review as well. In channel management, first of all , we expatiate the necessaries ; After that , we discuss the connotation of channel management . At the same time , we have a deep research on the relation among the balance of strategy ,the load of channel ,how to distribute the resource between the function department and the project team . In the third chapter , we discuss the frame of IPD based on the pace theory and how to make it operate successfully with the advanced management theory. In fact, it is the emphasis of the thesis. First, we introduce the IPD system based on the PACE theory . Compared with the pace theory , the IPD emphasizes the drive of the market and takes the market management as the import of IPD . At the same time , it also adds the product life cycle phase . Then, we go further on analysis of IPD combined with the practice of corporation. In the first section of the chapter, we expatiate the organizational structure of IPD and the relations between the different roles. In the second section of the chapter, we have a simple introduction on the import of IPD-market management. In the third section of the chapter , we expatiate the connotation of IPD . To be honest, it is the emphasis of the thesis . In this section, we introduce the theory of product life cycle and explain its necessity . At the same time, we also carry out a deep analysis on the other different factors between IPD and PACE. In the second section, we expatiate how to apply the advanced management theory into IPD frame .
