Nowadays, the environmental education thanks to the increasingly crucial worldwide environment problem has been one of the study fields under deep concern. Environmental education being a vital part of the quality education is the key measure to fulfill the sustainable development cause. For teachers colleges, undertaking campaign of environmental education will impose deep influence on the environmental consciousness cultivation, knowledge and skills acquisition, and comprehensive capability achievement of college students, meanwhile, it will push forward the environment education of primary school as well as secondary school even the whole nation and takes on a vivid character of the times. Then, making further research on environmental education of teachers colleges is a task of great importance facing the education at school as well as the urgent matter to the present educational and instructional theory research, even the pressing need to practice the course-reformed project of teachers colleges.Firstly, the thesis pointed out the importance and urgency of environmental education for teachers college by analyzing the definition and connotation of the "environment", "environmental problem" and "environmental education", outlined the ready accomplishments of environmental education study by summarizing the developing history of environmental education at home and abroad. In the end, came out the general recognition of environmental education. Secondly, got the basic conclusion of current situation to environmental education at teachers colleges through case investigation and documents analyzing: teachers and students show some awareness to environment, but the environment knowledge is not adequate enough, which indicated short-sighted and indifference to environmental education of teachers colleges. The imperfection of environmental education in our country mainly lies in the disequilibria on regions and majors, the unitary to educational and instructional methods, emphasis on the theory while disregards practice and less closer relation with normal education, and so on.Finally, on the grounds of the current situation investigation, the thesis claimed that the reinforcement of environmental education at teachers colleges should attach importance to the following aspects: understand the aims and purposes of environmental education from stands of sustainable development. Meanwhile, have an educational and instructional idea of humanity-orientation in mind. While teaching, regard to the optional application with teaching methods of "infiltration model" and "single subject model", to methodology choose, make use of "participating teaching method" which can interact closely with teachers and students, to mode, take advantage of inter class teaching and outer class teaching activities together. Administrations should initiate a campaign of creating a "Green College", for constructing a much better circumstance of the comprehensive environmental education.
