Among literary works, fairy tales are deep loved by children and always have beenplaying an important role. There are many educational activities carried on fairy tales, such asnarrating fairy tales, retelling fairy tales, and acting fairy tales. These activities mostlyemphasize on the developmental values of language and moral of fairy tales, but pay littleattention to the developmental value of creativity. Adapting fairy tales is one level activity ofthe structure of kindergarten's language -network activities, and it's a creative activity withactive meaning, which is built on the basic of understanding fairy tales and accumulatingmuch knowledge and experience. This thesis stands on the development of children'screativity and creative personality, and has path breaking study on the activity. This thesis consists four parts: Part one: Preface. On the basic of explicating the concept and the function of fairy tales,the thesis from two points of view of the position that fairy tales stands in modern children'sculture and the problems that exists in kindergarten's fairy tales teaching advances twoproblem needed resolving. Part two: According to the analysis of adapting fairy tales activities ongoing 3-4, 4-5and5-6 three age classes, which is analyzing from fairy tales choosing, fairy tales introducing andfairy tales adapting, this thesis concludes: Fairy tales choosing should accord with thechildren's interests and age characteristics; fairy tales introducing should be interesting andflexible; question and reflection are two important parts of carrying on adapting activities. Part three: This thesis concludes the general characteristics and age characteristics of 3-6children's fairy tales adapting. And then to counter the problem in the process of activities,this thesis advances four strategies guiding fairy tales adapting: following the children'sinterests from fairy tales choosing and guiding; guiding fairy tales adapting according tochildren's different levels; creating free and wide environment for children's fairy talesadapting; arousing parents assisting fairy tales adapting. Part four: In this part, the thesis analyzes the problems that appears in the activitycarrying process, and advances five educational suggestions for kindergarten teachers incarrying on fairy tales adapting activities.
