Investigation On The Perception Of Self-Worth Of Students Majoring In P.E. In Liaoning Province

.Physical education should turn from the parts of technique and body to spirit education today.We should exploit student's personality spirit and improve the body and mind development. Perception of self-worth is the core of personality. The cultivating of good self-worth perception is the cut-in point of healthiness personality education for students. The present investigation hypothesized that study of P.E. will cultivate students'interdependent self . The perception of college students'self-worth majoring in P.E. has its characteristic because diffrent pattern of study activity will influence the form of self-concept. Because it involves more social interaction,whereas the study of Science and Art will cultivate students'independent self .This paper dose a study to 911 university students in P.E. mojors in Liaoning Province by adopting the measure scale of perception of self-worth.and the result supported the hypothesis. It si shown that:There are differences between P.E. majors and non-P.E. majors on the aspect of overall perception of self worth,and also the normal and particular individual-oriented perception of self worth;There are also differences between male and female P.E.majors on the aspect of overall perception of self worth,and also the normal and particular social-oriented perception of self worth;Difference also exists in the students of different grades of P.E.majors in the points of overall perception of self worth and social-oriented perception of self -worth. Analysis and discuss the result of investigation. Put forward the advice contrapose the cultivating of good self-worth of college students majoring in P.E. For instance, the university must transform the educaion concption, establish right standard of talent, induct the student build up the scientific phylosophy and value intention etc.
