In the 21st century, with science and technology developing at an astonishing speed, human beings are entering into an information era in which information technology revolution with its cores of netwoks and multimedia has been permeating into every field of society. To meet the social development and the challenge of information the education government has determined the strategy of information education in middle and primary schools all over the country to popularize the information technology education. During this process teachers' information literacy becomes a very important element in deciding whether or not this effort will meet its goal. Therefor an urgent problem comes before every teacher and others caring for the education—how to improve teachers' information literacy to fit the information society.On the basis of clearly defining the connotation of information literacy of teaching stuff in middle and primary schools, and combining the methods of interview and questionnaire, this thesis makes plenty of foundamental researches and studies about the condition of information literacy on the group of middle and primary schools stuff taking part in training for core teachers in Liaoning Province, analyzes the restricting elements in its development, and aiming at these problems puts forward the mixed training model to improve the information literacy of these core stuff.In the first chaper, the author expatiates the background, the prsent situation, the aim, the significance and the methods of studying this subject.In the second chaper, on the basis of analysing the connotation of information literacy this thesis defines the content and stucture of information literacy of middle and primary schools stuff.In the third chapter, the thesis expatiates the goal of training for the core teachers, and counts and analyzes the research outcomes of the information literacy and training condition of the core techers of middle and primary schools in Liaoning Province.In the fourth chapter, aiming at the elements which restrict the enhancement of the information literacy of foundamental education stuff ,and at the weakness of present training the author put forward the mixed training model to improve the information literacy of core teachers.In the last chapter, the theses summarizes and evaluates the whole research work, and points out its inadequacy and the direction for further research.
