This research is designed to explore the types and expressing rules of positive transfer through studying the positive transfer phenomenon in Geography teaching, thus researching how to instruct Geography teaching abide by the theory of positive transfer, in order to obtain a better teaching result, so widely developing the theory in experience of teaching to meet the need of the new curriculum reformation and guide the practice of high school geography, and improving the grade of senior school students in a large area. This theory is demonstrated from the following seven aspects: 1. This part demonstrates the background of transfer theory research and analysis of definition in positive transfer theory respectively. 2. It point out eight factors which exert influences on the occurrence of positive transfer in the experience of Geography teaching. 3. This part shows us the division of more than ten types of positive transfer rules by bond-structure theory based on the former researches. 4. It analysis the function of positive transfer occurrence. 5. It put forward to three positive transfer manifestation rules. Mainly in cases, this part analysis this three positive transfer manifestation rules in teaching. 6. The evidence-oriented research on the influence of three positive transfer rules on Geography teaching. This part shows experimental research carried out in some middle school students of Grade one and Grade three. Experimental materials were divided into three groups. They were Experimental Group, Control Group and Common Test Group. The chosen classes were divided equally, depending on the sex ratio and marks in the grade. The experiment manifested : Experimental Group made more mistakes than Control Group in both Grade one or Grade three; Experimental Group two made much less mistakes than Control Group and Experimental Group one; The Grade three students in both Experimental Group and Control Group made fewer mistakes than Grade one. From this, we can prove this three positive transfer manifestation rules in paper correct. 7. The fundamental strategy encouraging the appearance of three positive transfer rules in Geography teaching. This part analyses the rules, which always be in our daily teaching experiences, from seven aspects. If we pay more attention to the rules, we can put forward a plan for carrying out them so that we can guide efficiently and effectively the practice of teaching.
