The Analysis Of Freshmen Cultural Cause To Have Trouble Adapting To Interpersonal Communication

Interpersonal skills occupy a very important position at the overall quality of college freshmen,which level of development affect all-round development of people directly.But so many freshmen's interpersonal situation is worrying.Interpersonal maladaptation frequent cause a large quantity of vicious cases in the news.Previous studies focus on psychology are able to play a role,but not both temporary and permanent cures.Because culture influences individual's psychological situation.Therefore,this study attaches importance to inspect cultural backgrounds of the students,starting from the framework of educational anthropology,basing on cultural anthropology theory,and using qualitative research methods.It takes 40 freshmen of Grade 2008 to search in Southwest University in interpersonal exchanges,existence difficulties,and cultural causes.The results are as follows:the Southwest freshmen adapt interpersonal difficulties mainly related to four areas:college freshmen feel lonely,it is difficult to integrate into the group;they are prone to friction and conflict,their relationship is tension;they lack confidant,contacting wide but not deep;they are not good at interact with the opposite sex,and then engendering confusion trouble.The study found that college freshmen appear difficult interpersonal relationships in universities because new students could not meet a new culture of the university.The further study found the reasons college freshmen adapt to interpersonal communication and cultural factors difficultly are the following:First,regional,national culture differences formate different character and language(dialect) in the impact of interpersonal Freshmen;second,modem home culture and home education culture narrow the scope of social interaction,the extent and the frequency,which impact on the growth of interpersonal skills;third,exam-oriented education culture and teaching methods and functions in secondary school inhibit college freshmen's interesting in interpersonal relationships and activities;fourth,the marketing economy culture and communication technology and cultural alienate the purpose of interpersonal communication and weaken freshmen's interpersonal skills.In order to resolve interpersonal problems,college freshmen should strengthen the culture adaptability as the core,the study think that we should take the following measures:the implementation of multicultural education,lay stress on the implementation of cultural care,the development of cross-cultural adaptation training,Students in their own subjective effort,which help the college freshmen pass through the period of adapting to interpersonal communication.
