A Study On The Speech Of Zhuanghe Dialect In Urban Area And Two

The Zhuanghe dialect belongs to the district of Jiao-Liao Mandarin, and is categorized as a local dialect of southern Liaoning among the dialects of north area.Compared with the mandarin, its syntactic structure is by and large the same as that of mandarin, except for some variances in character pronunciation. On the seagirt islands which belong equally to the Zhuanghe district, where the local dialect also belongs to Jiao-Liao Mandarin, there exist significant variances from the dialect of Zhuanghe Downtown, which manifests the property of the islands where the dialect of Jiao-Liao Mandarin is spoken and reflects the earlier form and characteristics of Jiao-Liao Mandarin which was less influenced by the spread of the mandarin.Adopting the field investigation method, this paper conducts an investigation and analysis into the dialect of Zhuanghe Downtown and the dialect of Wangjia and Shicheng Islands from a synchronic perspective, with the first-hand materials the author collected on the islands as the major research object, and by the methods of description, comparison, analysis, statistics, etc. at the same time.This paper falls into five sections in total:Section I is introduction, in which the accomplishments predecessors have achieved in studies into the Zhuanghe dialect are combed. The research object,methodology and significance, etc. of the paper are expounded. A brief introduction is given to the natural landscape, geographical and lingual profile of Zhuanghe, as well as the speakers’ basic status.In Second II, a study is conducted into the systems of syllable onsets of both Zhuanghe Downtown dialect and the dialect of the two islands. Their respective characteristics of system of syllable onsets are induced, and a comparative analysis is made on them along with the system of syllable onsets of the mandarin.In Section III, the systems of syllable rhymes of both Zhuanghe Downtown dialect and the dialect of the two islands are described and studied. Their respective characteristics of system of syllable rhymes are induced, and a comparative analysis is made on them along with the system of syllable rhymes of the mandarin.Under the multiple influences of the mandarin, northeastern dialect and Jiao-Liao Mandarin, the Zhuanghe dialect has had certain internal variances. Preceding this paper,there were extremely few research accomplishments in pertinence to the internal phonetic system within the Zhuanghe dialect. By its internal variances, the author separates the Zhuanghe dialect into two portions. This can not only provide materials for further perfection and development of study into the internal similarities and dissimilarities of Jiao-Liao Mandarin- particularly provide new references of individual cases to the study into the characteristics of the dialectal islands of historical distribution of Jiao-Liao Mandarin in eastern parts of Liaoning Province – but also canprovide corpus for establishment of provincial dialectal geography of Zhuanghe.Moreover, this paper can provide feasible plans fundamentally for popularization and spread of the local mandarin, and provide reference to the prosperity of provincial literature and artistic creation as well as the fields of language recognition technology of judicial system, etc.
