The research of prepositions "X zhe" has attracted the attention of many scholars, while here is no consensus that if a "X" or a "Xzhe" is a preposition. For each preposition has its own strong characteristic, the research of them should be done one by one. This paper is under two critical aspects of language evolution, grammaticalization and lexicalization theory, to study four typical words with less research:"suizhe" "yizhe" "chongzhe" "benzhe". On the other hand, as "focus on details and look towards whole prepositions" is this paper’s principle, the other task is to discover their development progress and motivations behind the change of prepositions "X zhe"All the main arguments are derived from the analysis and statistics about language corpus including CCL、dictionaries’ and some relevant papers’ examples cited. First we should collect all the examples including "X" and "Xzhe" and arrange them in order of age. Then it requires identifying the part of speech of "X" and "Xzhe" one by one. At last, we would investigate the four words "suizhe" "yizhe" "chongzhe" "benzhe" from the perspective of lexicalization and grammaticalizationThe text is divided into five parts. The introduction part mainly mentions some meanings of this topic, introduces the present situation of lexicalization and grammaticalization research and briefly explains the studying situation of "X" and "Xzhe". The context includes four chapters. Chapterl aims at the process and reasons of the grammaticalization of "suizhe" on the basis of the analysis of the preposition "sui". It is concluded that the preposition "suizhe" has different conversion mode because of different grammatical meaning. Chapter2 aims at the grammaticalization and lexicalization research of "yizhe" through the research of the appliance of "yi" in the sentence patterns of ancient Chinese. It shows us the semantic grammar changing and extension phenomenon. Chapter3 aims at the mechanism and process of grammaticalization of "chongzhe" with different grammatical meaning depending on the grammaticalization investigation of the "chong". Chapter4 aims at the grammaticalization and lexicalization research of "benzhe" on the basis of transformation with noun "ben" into verb, and then into preposition. This text holds the view that the grammaticalization and lexicalization of "Xzhe" is related to the preposition X’s semantic features. So it’s necessary to discuss the grammaticalization’s basis and reason of "X". The standard of judging if "Xzhe" is a preposition is mainly from form means. In syntactic structure, "Xzhe+NP1+NP2+V2" appearing is regarded as a main judgement standard if "Xzhe" has been grammared into a preposition. It’s not difficult to find that the hidden rule in each word:with different grammatical meaning, the similar preposition follows a similar process in the process of evolution.
