Words have always been the most active part in almost all languages. In all the world of all the times, new words abound along with majestic changes in social lives. And in the recent ten decades, along with inter-culture communications, China has endured a mess of changes. So did Chinese language, which had almost complete changes from classical Chinese to modern Chinese, from the diversion of speaking and writing to the unification of speaking and writing. And above all, the grammar system had changed a lot, such as grammaticalization, which is also the question to look at.And the quasi-affix is highly related to grammatical ization. Quasi-affix is the ones that have bleaching semanteme and huge analogical function. They are not well formed affix, they are changing gradually. So their characters as affix is not typical and the members of this quasi-affix family are undecided yet.So we can see that this quasi-affix is an open system which has many to identify and to give decision. And since the last 80s, we have done a lot about that. But as Chinese and Chinese quasi-affix has many unique characters, there are many arguments about the definition and determination of standard. And all these indeterminations make it harder to make a difference in the research.According to this situation, in order to give a good description to the new quasi-affix, my paper is based on a lot of new language materials, well acknowledged theological points, delicately selected quasi-affix and persuasive examples.The first chapter is about the current research fruit, which contains the important papers and opinions. We will generally go through them and find the things that most of us agreed after all these years of study. And on the base of all these foundations, I can conduct my own study on the newly formed quasi-affix.The second chapter is about the new quasi-affix, mainly of recent five years, which I divided into three kinds which are about people’s characters, people’s relationships with people or material stuff and new phenomenon or new subject.The third chapter is about the reasons of the production of these new quasi-affixes. There are reasons from inside of the language and outside of the language. But I as well as many others believe that the inside reasons are the denominate ones.The next chapter is about the teaching of these new quasi-affixes in the second language teaching. We will be looking at the current situation of quasi-affixes teaching and learning. And I will try to give some advice about its teaching.The last chapter is to sum up the whole paper.
