Walegen gold deposit, is the only larger gold deposit which belonged to metallogenic belt of West Qinling in Qinghai province, China. The type of deposit industry is belonged to micrograined-disseminated-type.Ore bodies mainly in sedimentary rock of Longwuhe form by clastic rocks and carbonatite, and carbonate rocks composed of intrusive rocks host in the early-Middle Triassic. Ore minerals, is consist of gold mineral and display on disseminated distribution of the host rocks, it is located in the fracture space and strictly limited in the fractured zone.Region of Walegen gold deposit, belonged to Tongren Indosinian Pb-Zn(Au, Ag, Sn) metallogenic sub-belt, and connects gold metallogenic belts of Hezuo and Xiahe in Gansu province. It’s very similar to gold deposits of Zhaozigou, Zhaishang, Daqiao and Yangshan, and south Maqu-Nanping gold metallogenic sub-beltin background of the ore-forming,all belong to microsized disseminated gold deposit type.Based on inferred from of regional metallogenic setting and the features analysis of deposit,suggested that have the potentials to finding gold deposit with super-large.With three years of work for geological exploration and research, not only improving the control degree of mother-lode engineering but also expanding the scale of ore body.Seven gold mineralization belts and 77 gold ore bodies were discovered, with estimation of gold resources was 39.51 tons.Only Ⅳ zone in the seven gold mineralization belts with 80*80m grid workings was conducted for engineering control of system, general controlled down-dip depth was 160 m and maximum down-dip depth was 510 m. The Other gold mineralization belts are being at the stages of reconnaissance and prospecting, which have a great prospect for ore exploration.In conclusion,the formation of gold mineralization is closely to silicification, pyritization, arsenopyrite mineralization, ferritization and sericitization. Spatial distribution of ore bodies controlled by fractures of varying ages and types, regional north to west trending fault structure belonged to lead ore while following the east to west fault structure in later period belonged to ore-structure.Comparatively, it is easier to find gold mine with the orientation of extend between north and west for Walegen gold deposit. So need to focus on working for it in the future.
