The stability analysis and research of the slope is an important work in engineering construction, which is also a hot research direction of geotechnical engineering and a complex technical challenge. Instability and failure of slope, especially the occurrence of landslides on human life and property, caused serious losses, so the study of inducing factor of the slope instability and the failure mechanism has practical value for disasters for example landslide control. Slope stability is influenced by many factors. This paper focuses on the effects of the seepage rainfall, rainfall induced damage of slope instability of slope failure process. In this paper, we have different rainfall intensity of strength parameters through the field investigation, field in-situ test and indoor experiments of rock and soil, with the help of these parameters, respectively, by using the limit equilibrium method and finite element numerical analysis method for slope stability analysis of mathematical through the establishment of numerical model, the finite element method of MIDAS/GTS simulation slope, for the whole process of the landslide destruction. The result by comparing of the two methods, the paper reveals the breakage mechanism of the landslide under the condition of rainfall, and according to the safety factor of the landslide under different rainfall intensity to clarify the influence of different rainfall on the slope. Results show that although each process has certain error, but on the whole, the two kinds of calculation results of experimental data better. Inside is initially unsaturated soil slope state, with the steady growth of rainfall time, rain gradually penetrate into the slope, soil moisture increased, thus increasing pore water pressure. The final unsaturated soil becomes saturated soil. In this process, the soil weight increase, rainwater infiltration will also change the mechanical properties of soil in the slope, cohesion and internal friction Angle decreases, the matrix suction decreases, and the shear strength is reduced, destruction of slope. The greater intensity of the rainfall, the faster decrease of the safety factor of landslide, the faster changes of the soil pore water pressure and the soil displacement, the faster decrease of the stability of the slope, the faster it lower, therefore, landslide is more likely to happen.
