Previous studies have shown that the method of primary halo is one of the most effective methods for determining the extent of the ore body denudation, exploring concealed ore bodies, prospecting for mineral in the deep. The Shimenan Gold Deposit in Anhui Province is an epithermal deposit, and it is more mature and reliable that the method of primary halo was applied to this type of Au deposit at present. Currently, less work had been done in Xichong ore block, and the work that prospecting for mineral by the method of primary halo has not been carried out during reconnaissance stage. Therefore, we carried out the study on primary halo for prospecting for mineral in the deep, which provides a scientific basis and theoretical support for our unit to exploration work and resource potential assessment.A number of mathematical statistical analysis and data about mining area show: the main indicator elements for the primary halo of No.307 orebody are As, Sb, Mo, W, Au, Ag, Pb, Zn, Cu; the indicator elements of the front halo are As, Sb; the indicator elements of the near-ore hole are Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, Zn; the indicator elements of the rear halo are W, Mo.Grigorian Zoning Index Method was used to calculate the axial zoning sequence of primary halo of No.10, No.18, No.26 prospecting line, and zoning sequence was adjusted according to the Correlation analysis, Cluster analysis, Factor analysis. Then we have the primary halo axial zoning sequence of No.10 prospecting line is W-Mo-Zn, Sb, As-Cu-Au-Ag-Pb; the primary halo axial zoning sequence of No.18 prospecting line is Pb-Ag-Au-Cu, Mo-Sb-As, Zn-W; the primary halo axial zoning sequence of No.26 prospecting line is As-W-Mo-Sb, Zn-Ag, Au-Pb-Cu; the primary halo axial zoning sequence of No.307 orebody is W-Mo, Zn-Ag, Au-Sb-As-Cu-Pb. The front halo elements are appearing at the end of the primary halo zoning sequence and the rear halo elements are appearing in the upper part of the primary halo zoning sequence. The primary halo axial anti-zoning sequence of No.307 orebody means that the orebody could not formed in a single mineralization period.Combined with the geologic feature and the primary halo zoning sequence features of No.307 orebody, and the primary halo zoning sequence features and the parameters of the primary halo geochemistry features of No.10, No.18, No.26 prospecting line, the ideal zoning model of the primary superimposed halos was built. In addition some work on prospecting for mineral in the deep has done. At last, we speculate that there might be a larger outspread part of No.307 orebody in No.10, No.26 prospecting line, but orebody pinchout in No.18 prospecting line. We could take further engineering verification in the next step.
