Currently the unconventional oil and gas reservoirs were rapidly developed, with the high degree of importance form the national level and the major oil companies. There are two main issues in the development of unconventional reservoir. On the one hand, the data provided in the course of petroleum exploration and development belong to geological maps and conventional modeling is a long cycle and complex process, so it can’t provide real-time model to decision-make for the development of unconventional oil reservoir; on the other hand unconventional reservoir exits numerous layer, thin layer, low reserves abundance, low productivity technical difficulties. In order to solve the development of unconventional reservoirs’ s problems and provide decision support for oil and gas exploration and development, we developed "Fast Reservoir Modeling and Horizontal Wells Design Software(FRMHWDS)" based on the study of fast reservoir modeling based on multi-source geological maps and horizontal well design technology.The main content and work of this paper include:(1) Analysed the organization structure and content of the oil industry multi-source and heterogeneous data(geological maps, Petrel modeling results and reservoir simulation model, etc.), defined data standard format(*.SpjMap) of FRMHWDS and improved the data conversion function of Map Data Digital Tool.(2) Studied fast reservoir modeling(conceptual modeling, graphical modeling) technology, model cut algorithm, model 3D visualization based on OSG.(3) Studied the flow of Horizontal wells design, respectively of favorable region Filtering, horizontal well design(manual design, automatically design based on intelligent algorithm), horizontal well section location optimization, fracture design and production forecasts were studied.(4) Developed "Fast Reservoir Modeling and Horizontal Well Design Software(FRMHWDS)" by *.NET platform, MFC, OSG, GDI technology. FRMHWDS including the Petrel modeling results’ s data and Eclipse model data loading and managing, conceptual modeling, graphical modeling, reservoir model cutting, horizontal section design and optimization, productivity prediction, 2D diplay and Operate, 3D diplay and Operate, reservoir statistical analysis and so on.Through the application test of the real reservoir model, the actual effect FRMHWDS been tested. Software’s reservoir mode data loading and management, visual display, horizontal well design and production forecasting function module are practical, with good independence and versatility, so it could be applied to the development of the field of petroleum geology.
