Continuous-rolling process of steel tube is a steak of important workstage in theseamless steel tube production, the process produces important influences on thedimensional accuracy and product quality. In the continuous-rolling process, the rootcause of coming into being a variety of quality of products is metal flow law of steel tube.The technological parameters including the rolling reduction, speed sclaeclule and thebloom rolling temperature have an important influence on the metal flow law. The paperwas based on the most advanced PQF the continuous-rolling pipe mills and do thequalitative analysis to the process parameters affecting the law of metal flow using thefinite element numerical simulation technology.First, based on the roll pass characteristics, the paper established the spread model ofsteel pipe using the equivalent area method, on this basis, The export area of rolled piecewas calculated in each frame and determine the elongation of each frame. At the sametime, The paper deduced the calculation formula of the roll average work radius using theequivalent area method.Secondly, the paper builds the steel pipe rolling coupled thermo-mechanical modelusing the ABAQUS software and verifies the model by the measured rolling force. Thepaper researched the field variables distribution law including the stress field, strain field,velocity field and temperature field in the rolling process and verify the steel pipe spreadand roll average work radius theory model.Thirdly, to improve the calculation precision of tandem rolling mills frame exportarea, The steel pipe spread varied was researched on the rolling reduction, speed scheduleand the bloom rolling temperature by the finite element simulation. Based on a largenumber of finite element simulation and the BP neural network technology, the steel tubespread prediction model was built so as to realize the fast accurate forecast of steel pipesize.Finally, by changing the process parameters,I studied the influence law of steeltube wall thickness uneven and put forward the solution.
