With the rapid development of economy and the rising of shot blasting technology, moreand more industry choose the shot blast cleaning equipment for their production. Among them,the hook type shot blasting machine is mainly applicable to various industries in cleaning, rustcleaning, descaling and surface strengthening of castings and forgings, as well as deburring ofplastic parts, etc. Currently, there are two categories of the hook type shot blasting machinebeing commonly used, they are single hook and double hook shot blasting machine, thedouble hook can be divided into reversing type and non-reversing type depend on whetheryou need to use the reversing car to complete the function of reversing on the rail bracket. Therail bracket of the hook type shot blasting machine is mainly used for providing the functionof load-bearing and guiding. It is a steel structure welding of steel. This topic mainly aimed atthe studying of the rail bracket of the hook type shot blasting cleaning machine. The mainresearch contents include the following aspects:Firstly, determine the content of research. For the current hook type shot blastingmachine, through the design and analysis to get the main influencing factors which affect therail bracket. It includes the influence of the workpiece, the impact force to the workpiece inthe process of shot blasting, the effect of the separator part should be considered, since themounting bracket of the separator are connected to the leg of the rail bracket. Three forms ofrail bracket models are established by using the SolidWorks3D modeling software, anddetermining the follow-up analysis task combined with the model.Secondly, analyzed the force of impact what works on the workpiece during the processof the shot blasting. The3D models of the shot blasting machine, the chamber body and theworkpiece were created by using the SolidWorks. Simulated the blasting process of the hooktype shot blasting machine by using the discrete element software EDEM. Based on the resultof the simulation and analysis, we get the force which comes from the projectile, the contacttime of the collision and energy loss during the collision, etc. In terms of the selected shotblasting machine type, the work force comes from a single projectile is larger, but theresultant force is small. Therefore, when the weight of the workpiece is large, the force can beignored. Thus it is concluded that the influence of the shot blasting process on the rail bracket is also negligible.Thirdly, analyzed the influence what the separator had on the rail bracket. Established the3D model of the separator, through the analysis of the working principle of the separator, it isconcluded that the weight of the material can be neglected and only consider the impact of theweight of the separator when considering the influence of the separator for the rail bracket.Fourthly, considering all factors comprehensively, make stressing analysis and structuraloptimization for the track frame structure of the hook shot blasting machine. By using ansysanalyzed the deformation and stress of the rail bracket under different stress conditions.According to the analysis result, we get that when the deformation and the force state aremaximum and where the maximum occurs in each structural form. Based on the results ofanalysis, modified the structure where the stress is larger, and analyzed the stress anddeformation of the modified structure.
