With the continuous improvement of the factory production capacity, Guixi Smelter’s production status has changed greatly, the existing flash furnace metallurgical control model can not meet the production requirements. With the help of Taiji Computer Corporation and other partners, Guixi Smelter has studied on flash furnace metallurgical control model. Main work and results are as follows:(1)We made a more comprehensive component analysis on input and output materials of the flash furnace to determine new elements and phase which should be added to the existing control model. Accroding to the result of the Guixi Smelter’s forth element general investigation and the flash furnace production practice, we locked on the part of the input and output, materials for quantitative hase analysis. According to the quantitative element and phase detection result, a number of research institutes jointly agreed model needs to be added Pb, Zn this two elements. Furthermore, we determined the new phases which should be added to the each material and adjusted their ratios, including new phase ratio of zinc constants and coefficients of the boiler dust.(2)Accroding to the result of the Guixi Smelter’s forth element general investigation, we determined existing control model coefficient parameters which should be changed. These mainly include matte’s S, Fe, Pb, Zn grade formula coefficients change; inputs, outputs dust coefficient change; various parts of dust components of the exhaust system change.(3)Thermodynamic data used in the heat balance calculation for adjusting model. According to the relevant professional information to look up each new phase of decomposition, generate heat and other thermodynamic data.(4)Adjustment and construction of the control model. Based on the above of the new phase and the scale factor changes and other factors, metal balance and heat balance equation needs to be adjusted and constructed.(5)We have developed a set of the off-line simulation control model in the study which is used as a public platform for carrying out a lot of work such as trial, adjustment, spreadsheet, evaluation, test, etc.(6)After validation about the new off-line simulation control model, we have a conclusion that the Pb, zinc element will be a larger impact on the calculation results and zinc element influence is greater. After a comparison of the new off-line simulation control model and the online control model which is being used, we have a conclusion that the calculated date of the new off-line simulation control model is more consistent with the actual production than the online control model.
