| Epoxy resin with excellent physical and chemical properties have been widelyused in the field of coating, adhesive, composite materials. Compared with ordinaryepoxies, waterborne epoxy resin avoided to use volatile organic solvent and haveattraced significant attention.In this study, diethanolamine quantitative react with phenolic type epoxy resin(F51) by using ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether as a active diluent. In this reaction, akind of modified resin with a reactive emulsifier function was prepared. Reactionratio and some reaction conditions such as temperature, time were researched, and thecuring properties of this water-soluble epoxy coating also discussed. In the secendstep, the modified resin was used as an active emulsifier that emulsify epoxy resinE51, and the waterborne epoxy E51emulsion was prepared by using of phaseinversion technology. Under the right conditions, high storage stable emulsion with400nm to800nm of average particle size was prepared. This emulsion could storagestable over4months with the solids content of40%to50%. Modification ratio andsome experiment conditions such as the temperature of emulsifying, emulsifiercontent,stirring foce were studied in this paper. Ultimately, we determined the bestexperiment conditions for preparing waterborne epoxy emulsions.In order to obtain good performance cured product of waterborne epoxy, a kindof polyamine curing agent modified by monoepoxides and the aqueous dispersion ofmodified epoxy resin was prepared at this study. Such a small number of primary aminecuring agent have a long shelf-life and good compatibility with the epoxy resin. Chargingsequence and reaction conditions such as the reaction time, temperature were researched in thisstep. Eventually we got excellent performance waterborne curing agent.The resultshows that the shelf-life of modified curing agent up to6h, solid content of the agentis50%, and it can be mixed with homemade waterborne epoxy emulsion.Finally, waterborne epoxy coating product have been prepared by home-madewaterborne epoxy emulsion and home-made curing agent and some other assistant.Curing temperature, curing ratio influence and some other factors were discussed inthis step. Finally, the article discusses the impact of cardanol ether and silane couplingagent on the film. The result shows that cardanol ether can improve the impact resistance of the film, silane coupling agent can improve the adhesion of the film. Byoptimizing the performance of the film, we get a simple coating dispensation andexcellent performance film. The result si that hardness of the paint is0.79, adhesion ofthe paint is band2, impact strength of the paint greater than50Kg.Cm, and the filmhas a resistance to distilled water more than15days. |
