With the characteristics of high COD, high pH value and high salinity, it notonly have the higher costs, but also have poor treatment efficiency to useconventional chemical or biological treatment methods to treat the SDS wastewater.And the effluent quality were difficult to reach the discharge standards, it will leadto environmental pollution if the SDS wastewater not have an effective processing.As the mixed wastewater combined with domestic sewage and SDS wastewater wastook as the research object, this paper main to research the remove of thecomprehensive wastewater with UV/Fenton and biological contact oxidation.In UV/Fenton system, the orthogonal test showed that the order of the fourmain factors influencing the COD removal efficiency of SDS wastewater is: H2O2dosage> pH value> FeSO4dosage> reaction time. With the initial concentration ofCOD was7000~7500mg/L, the best point in UV/Fenton system was: reaction timewas150min, pH value was3.0, H2O2dosage was27.5ml/L and FeSO4dosage was1.5g/L. And the residual COD concentration was1000~1200mg/L, the CODremoval rate was84.00%at the best point.Semi soft packing was chosen as the test packing to study the start-up ofbiological contact oxidation process. The microbial growth tends to be stable at15d,the COD removal rate was about80%, and the NH3-N removal rate was about74.00%when the reactor ran to18d. The main factors to affect the treatmentefficiency of BCO such as HRT and pH value were also to be studied, the resultshowd that the optimum HRT of BCO was8h, and the optimum pH value was7.0.The orthogonal test showed that the order of the four main factors influencing theCOD removal efficiency in BCO process is: pH value> aeration rate> HRT>sludge return ratio, and the optimum operating conditions of BCO process was: HRTwas4h, pH value was7.5, aeration rate was7L/min and sludge return ratio was30%.The treatment efficiency of UV/Fenton and biological contact oxidationprocess to treat the SDS comprehensive wastewater was remarkable, and the treatedwater quality could reach the town sewage treatment plant pollutant dischargestandard.The engineering design of SDS comprehensive wastewater treatment wascarried out according to the test results, it showed that the unit handling cost was16.59yuan/t when using UV/Fenton and biological contact oxidation process totreat the SDS comprehensive wastewater. And the economic benefit is remarkablecompare with the costs relying on third party to treat SDS integrated wastewater. The research results provided a scientific basis to analyses, design, and reformthe SDS wastewater treatment process, a technical support for the recycling anddetoxifying treatment of SDS wastewater, and it had a great guiding significance todealing with other kinds of industrial wastewater when using the UV/Fenton andbiological contact oxidation process.
