With the vigorous development of the international trade, the circulation of commodities have become increasingly frequent, so requirements of protective packaging also become more and more important during the transportation of products. Packaging materials should not been damaged in transportational process, and packaging materials must be a kind of green materials. Paper packaging materials are environment-friendly materials, and they have superior protection and cushion property, which have been widely used package of goods in transport. The most application is corrugated cardboard cartons in the paper packaging materials in transports, and corrugated paper has good cushion to small load, but its strength is small, to bear considerably impact load in heavy product shipment; the intensity of the honeycomb cardboard is bigger to resist a impact load, but the rigid is too big to resist a small load. Therefore, the article will put corrugated cardboard and honeycomb cardboard together to research the technology of production, and try to create corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard. Through a series of static compression test and impact test to research the cushion property, expect to provide the theory reference for corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard in actual applied.Corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard is a new type paperboard. This paper researches the production technology and cushion property. First it analyzed the characteristics of the structure of corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard, and discussed the production technological process. It used plywood theoretical to analysis its mechanical properties, and obtain the relationship of stress-strain. It chose different thickness of the honeycomb paperboard and type A corrugated paperboard to make composite structure paperboard and made static compression test. Based on concluded test datas, it drew the stress-strain curves, and then converted them into cushion coefficient curves to analysis the static cushion property. In view of the cushion packaging materials mainly been used in package of transport, static cushion test not to reflect practical situation in transportation, so done dropping impact test to corrugated paperboard, different thickness of the honeycomb paperboard and corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard to get test datas, and draw maximum acceleration-static stress curves, then converted them into cushion coefficient curves, to analyze the dynamic cushion property. According to theory research of static and dynamic cushion property of corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard, it designed cushion packaging for the flat glass. Choosed a flat glass product, it designed the cushion packaging, and analysised advantages and disadvantages of various designs.The results of the research show that, with the sole use of corrugated paperboard or honeycomb paperboard, corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard has good mechanical properties and cushion property. In the smaller load, corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboard show is the cushion action of corrugated paperboard, and in the larger loads, the show is mainly the cushion action of honeycomb paperboard. Therefore, using the different specifications of corrugated and honeycomb composite structure paperboards in packaging of transportation broad application prospect.
