Pipeline is connected between the development and utilization of natural gas, and a largenumber of natural gas is transported through the pipeline to far away from the field of citiesand industrial area. Nearly ten years, with the large-scale construction of pipeline and gradualdevelopment of natural gas market, the main natural gas pipeline system face to the wholecountry is steadily constructing, and its capacity will grow at an unprecedented speed, so thepipeline system is becoming more and more big and complicated. How to guarantee theoperation of pipeline system security, reasonable and economic, becomes a top issue formanagers. Energy consumption as the main cost of pipeline operation, which makes theenergy management becomes a more urgent problem, so the most critical problem of operationoptimization is to reduce energy consumption.This paper researches a large number of literatures at home and abroad, keeps abreast ofthe latest research results in natural gas pipeline system optimization techniques,simultaneously, combines with a deep study of operational optimization of a domestic longdistance natural gas pipeline network system.Through analysis of energy consumption of pipeline system operation is affected byvarious factors of pipeline transmission capacity, compressor, resource and consumer. Thecomplex problem of operational energy consumption of pipeline system is transformed intoobjective function of the mathematical problem. In order to establish the expression method ofthe lowest energy consumption, the optimization model of energy consumption of gastransmission pipeline system operation is put forward, and the linear approximation method isadopted for the model, and the “program of the operation optimization of the natural gaspipeline system” is compiled by C++Builder6.0. Then, taking the domestic long distancenatural gas pipeline system as an example, this paper put forward the optimization scheme. Inthe end, the study of the gas transmission pipeline system model calculation is made by thesimulation software PNS, the accuracy and the rationality of the calculation program is tested,and the feasibility and applicability of optimal scheme is verified.
