Natural Gas Pipeline Network System Operation Optimization

Natural gas is transported to users from wells mostly by pipelines. Pipeline is a very important ligament of the exploitation and utilization of natural gas. With the increase of demonstrated reserves, exploitation metes and user's demand, large-scale and complicated pipeline network system is forming. How to operate the pipeline network system while it is safe, in reason and good economic benefit to the operation department is crucial. Therefore, the study on optimal operation of gas gathering and distributing pipeline network system has important meaning.By studying many domestic and abroad papers, following closely the recent study on optimal operation of gas gathering and distributing pipeline system, and combining with the actual state of natural gas gathering and distributing pipeline system in the west part of Sichuan and gas gathering and distributing pipeline system of Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch, we make a deep study on optimal operation of gas gathering and distributing pipeline network system.In this paper, mathematical model of optimal operation of natural gas gathering and distributing pipeline network system was formed according to analyzing influencing factors on this system, and linear approximation method and complex method were adopted to resolve it. Optimal operation program of natural gas gathering and distributing pipeline network system with Visual C++ 6.0 has been developed according to the characters of pipeline network system and adopting optimization theory and methods. It has successful practice in natural gas pipeline network operation of west part of Sichuan and gas gathering and distributing pipeline network system of Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch. In other gas gathering and distributing pipeline network system, it is also in point to its optimal operation.
