Arc furnace is one of the main equipment in production of silicon manganese alloy, and the electrode lifting control system in the whole process of ore heat furnace work plays a key role is the core of this article is based on a ferroalloy manufacturers-arc furnace transformation system, design a set of industrial computer as the upper computer, PLC as lower machine automation industrial control system.First, on the basis of detailed research on the site environment designed hardware schematics of the entire control system and design studies for selection. Advantech IPC as a PC, Siemens PLC-400as a control center, Fuchs optical encoder as feedback devices to Siemens MM6series inverter frequency control devices as the electrode, forming a complete closed-loop control the overall operation of the system deployment.This system is in the actual development process, the application of the current popular way B/S, the server also uses open-source software Tomcatl to provide services, while taking advantage of the three framework to build the project to provide better convenience for developers. Finally, a summary of the entire control system design and detailed design of software development. Design part of the software consists mainly of two subsystems design: one is PC monitoring system, on the other hand is the next bit machine control system. PC monitoring system which includes the main interface control interface, interface and process monitoring trends electrode interface, and several other subsystems. Also lower machine control system includes an electrode put pressure control, lift control electrode and the electrode position measurement and several other subsystems.Finally, to test the software part of the whole system of molecular system, test results show that the system has good control the rise and fall of the whole electrode, automated monitoring interface reduces the operator labor intensity, the effective electrode control algorithm reduces the power consumption of the whole process of smelting, successfully completed the design before the preset goals.
