The strand condition monitor is an important equipment of CCM (continous castiong machine), for online testing the rolloer column for the accuracy,casting roller on the situation,and the roller gap and roll alignment,and it also can test the quality of steel,detecting defects. And the scm can reduce the adjusting time of roller gap,improve the maintenance efficiency,and the overall efficiency of equipment.In this paper. LuoJing steelmaking plant of baosteel#2caster’s scm is focused as the research background.Specific for roll gap and roll alignment problem,which affects the production will be researched,throuth analysis and comparison of the measurement graphicFirstly, based on the continuous caster scm’s design process software, hareware, ect. analysis of the scm measuring principle and the function.Explain the measuring graphics for later comparing and anlysis of the diffient control system.Secondly, analysis the roll gap and roll alignment problem in the production process. Through the introduction of the fuzzy control theory of the gap instrument system research and application, the continuous casting machine roll gap established a fuzzy self-tuning PID controller, the system adaptive control.Finally, through the common PID control of roll gap measuring graphics and the fuzzy control application under roll gap measuring graphics contrast, Reflect the fuzzy control application can effectively improve the roller gap and roller alignment problem.
