Accompanied with continuously exploring development of the Daniudi gas field, there have been some urgent problems, for example, the formation pressure near bottom hole is dropping, the capacity carrying liquid of gas wells is declining and collection fluid in the bottom of the well increasing. It results in the decreasing of productivity of the gas wells. Foam drainage gas recovery is one of the most main drainage gas recovery methods in Daniudi gas field. It is Urgent to develop an efficient foaming agent suited to the characteristics of the low pressure and productivity gas wells and foam drainage gas recovery method to improve the development effect of those gas wells, so as to realize the high efficiency, sustained, stable and balanced development of the whole gas field.In this paper, a large number of data and field investigation were finished. First, the reservoir characteristics, formation water characteristics, principle and factors of gas recovery by foam drainage were analyzed in Daniudi gas field. Through static (Ross-Miles method) and dynamic experiment, we had done some research on the performance testing and compounding of those selected foaming agents. Eventually the foaming agent suited to the characteristics of the low pressure and productivity gas wells was developed and the method was defined. More representative and practical significance for the study, two gas wells were selected to make field pilot test, and good results were achieved.
