Design And Implementation Of Geographic Information Systems In Urban Air Defense

The city is usually the center of polity, economy, culture, military affairs and the holly of traffic in some area . It is not only the space of people' s producing and living, but also the important martial carrier. Along with the progressing of the world wide civilization, the quantity, size and function of modern cities have changed greatly. They will become the principal part of the war in the future. In this paper the Urban Aerial Defense Geographic Information System (UADGIS) is developed based on the Urban Aerial Defense Geographic database which has been perfected. UADGIS provides the display, management, query and Stat of Geographic information and the Geographic analysis in different moments of the aerial defense battle.In this paper, the connotation of modern urban aerial defense battlefield environment, the characteristic of urban aerial defense are first expatiated. Then the paper discusses the spatial mathematics models of Urban Geographic Information System (UGIS). On the basis of that, the paper introduces the system design of UADGIS. The paper emphasizes the advanced mode of information management and spatial analysis function including terrain analysis, traffic analysis, aerial defense analysis and important aids analysis. The paper describes the mathematic models and the analysis courses. In the end, the system functions are laid out.
