With the sustainable developing economic environment, environmental, high value-added processing methods become powerful means of winning in the competition of corporation. Free press as a commonly tool used for cutting molding, and its role in the processing becomes more and more important.Cruuently,in the stamping process of the punch's main mechanical transmission , for the harmful lateral force is greater ,which reduces the accuracy of the mold's alignment, and making the gap of molds is unreasonable, this processing directly affect the quality of parts. In this paper, we takes two kinds of linear motion mechanism as the main drive mechanism of the press. Since the output of the two bodies are straight line, so the lateral force is almost zero. This two mechanisms are used as the press'main drive mechanisms, it can greatly reduce the lateral force's affect on the accuracy of mold, and improves quality of components. The main contents of this paper are the theoretic analysis of the movement of these two bodies. The specific contents is as follows:1. Analyzing the movement of Peaucellier institutions, in which, by defining the vector loop of the institution, listing the location equation of each pole, and by the first and second order derivative of the location equation, we obtained velocity and acceleration functions. In this chapter, we get the kinematic basis of analysis of this institution.2. By optimizing the size of each bar, our target is to get the minimum input torque. By using ADAMS to analyzing and optimizing the movement of the mechanism, we learn that the length of the crank do the greatest impact on the input torque, and the others can almostly be negligibale.3. Because of the special nature of the overconstraint mechanism, we get the DOF of a special Bricard mechanism with the screw theory. In this chapter, we get the basis for the following kinematic analysis of the mechanism.4. By analyzing the closed-loop equation of the Bricard mechanism, we get the relationship between input and output of the mechanism. And we also get he relationship between input and output of the mechanism under practical usement.In this paper, by theoretical study of the two mechanisms, we obtain the relationship between input and output of each, and this provides theoretical basis for the two mechanism used in punch in the future.
