Engineering machinery class channel guide wheel is currently a new iron and steelproduct, which makes up for the blank of domestic profiled steels. Because it is used inlarge mechanical equipment, it needs high size precision, and it must be carried on the coldrolling straightening to complete. The straightening process is a very complicatednonlinear and deformed process, including material and geometric nonlinear processes.Because there are many factors in the field, it is difficult to control. To solve theproduction problems, the topic simulates H-beam straightening process by using finiteelement software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. In the simulation, three different straighteningschemes are used to compare and analyse the rules of stress, flatness and straighteningforce. The results are as follows:According to the channel size, it designs the prototype of small and medium-sized H-beam roller straightening machine, including roll spacing, roll diameter, roll number, rolllength and the straightening speed. After simplifying the complex cross-section shape, itconfirms the section modulus in bending type channel, and calculates the bending momentMs and force calculation. It uses three different straightening schemes, including small deformation bendingmethod, linear pressure curve and large deformation bending method. Based on the elastic-plastic bending deformation theory, it formulates the rules of straightening and pressingprocess, calculates the bending amount of straightening rollers in different straighteningschemes, confirms the straightening parameters, and establishs models of straighteningroller and channel steel by using Pro/ENGINEER software Wildfire4.0.It simulates the three different straightening processes by ANSYS/LS-DYNA. thetype steel whose original shape is straight and initial stress is zero is used to analyse thedistribution of the stress and the strain. The results show that, the longitudinal stress playsa dominant role, stress had no obvious regularity, in different press rules, when the bendingamount is different, the influences are different for the residual stress and flatness of steel. In the last, the variation of stress and strain are compared and analysed during thestraightening process. It simulates the steel process whose original shape is bent down and wave bending byusing linear descending straightening scheme. The results show that, theoretical calculationvalue cannot make the steel flat and after straightening, the steel is head upwards. So thetheoretical calculation values are adjusted to establish. The new model is adjusted repeatlyto realize straightening.
