Straightening is a reclamation about the shape defect of metal plastic working (mechanical metal working) product, it is one of important sizing operations. During operation of rolling or refrigeration transportation process later, all kinds of shape defect often are produced by rolled metal. Such as the bending of bar,section bar and tubes and pipes, board strips bending,wave warp,buckling and so on. Under external force, by various kinds straightening process, the product's defect such as bending will be eliminated, also will make product qualified.Straightening method has gag press straightening,roller straightening (include plain barreled roller straightening and crossrolls straightening),tension straightening and stretch bending straightening and so on. While in straightening various kinds of section bar and plates, plain barreled roller straightening machine will be used to straightening much more. It need two straightening rollers that level and strict up straight to straightening its four surfaces while plain barreled roller straightening every kinds of proximate matter, that made the machine has a more complex structure.The straightening Mechanism is studied basic on a kind of 22mmX22mmX 3mm hollow square red copper as the research object, to study the straightening mechanism of V-shaped roller and calculate the straightening technological parameter like roller spacing,roller diameter,roller number and so on, which has a certain reference value for s straightening method of the same type of tube as copper conducting bar. In this paper, the integrated use of analytical method and three-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element numerical simulation of the conducting bar straightening process in a more systematic study. Tasks are as follows:1. To obtain the straightening ratio of curvature equation, the V-shaped roller straightening theory will be studied with elastoplasticity bending deflection theory and interrelated straightening theory. Thus the structural parameters and straightening technological parameter of red copper V-shaped roller straightening machine will be deduced.2. The press process of red copper straightening is simulated by finite element method taking into account a variety of non-linear cases. The elastic-plastic deformation state and the distribution of the stress and strain on the section of red copper and along the length of its direction are put forward. An ideal reference for the determination of intermesh of movable roller at the entrance of straightening machine is provided.3. Three-dimensional explicit dynamic finite element simulations of red copper straightening process are completed by using ANSYS/LS-DYNA software to study the straightnees, size and distribution of residual stress, size of straightening rollers' force basic on different roller spacing.4. Studied the impacts of roller spacing which is the key structural parameters, and intermesh the key technical parameter for each roller's straightening force and the size and distribution of stress-strain characteristics of red copper.5. To studied the change rule of the spring-go to the rolling reduction, three kinds of experiments on the press process of red copper straightening are carried out respectively 250mm and 190mm roller spacing, and from this we can confirm the data correctness of numerical simulation and experiment.
