Currently, environmental issues and energy conservation issues get more and morehuman attention in the world. Particularly in the field of industrial production, the world’smajor oil producing countries have invested a lot of technologies, funds for energy savingresearch in order to reduce production costs. At present, Chinese major oil fields areusing beam pumping units for field operations. For a variety of energy-savingtechnologies applied on the pumping unit, relevant technicians pay more and moreattention on the inverter technology. But due to immaturity of those related technologies,it shows a series of negative consequences, such as the improper handling of electricalenergy from an imbalanced motor load, harmonic pollution from net side, a low powerfactor and so on.The frequency conversion controller studied by this thesis has some commonfeatures.The controller also has a series of specific functions required by the specialworking environment of oil fields to solve special problems caused by complex situationsin the oilfield pumping process. The controller’s hardware and software are both studied.The controller select a DSP(Digital Signal Processor) chip as the control core whosemodel is TMS320F240. The controller uses SVPWM(Space Vector Pulse WidthModulation) algorithm to control the inverter’s pulse output. Extensive researches havebeen done in aspects such as human-computer interface design, soft starting of motorcontrol, and long-distance communication module. What’s more, the frequency controllercan be operated from a long distance and is more humanized.Finally, the application of SVPWM algorithm is simulated. The result of simulationshows that SVPWM algorithm used in oil pumping frequency energy controller isfeasible and reasonable. The simulation results can illustrate further that the SVPWMalgorithm applied in frequency conversion control system can generate good results andprospects.
