With the support of the development of modern science and technology, grinding has a huge development and it is becoming more and more high precision under the influence of the new technology. For the reason of the disordered arrangement abrasives on the surface of the grinding wheel, the abrasive dust can easily blockage the space of the grains so that the workpiece will be burned and the surface of the workpiece roughness will be increased. The ordering arrangement of the abrasive grains is one of the most effective ways to solve these questions. In this paper, the phyllotactic arrangement of the abrasive grains which is a special arrangement in our nature has been applied in the arrangement of abrasives on the surface of the grinding wheel.At first, the phyllotaxis theory was introduced into the arrangement of the abrasive grain. With the method of photolithography and electroplating, the electroplating grinding wheel with abrasive phyllotactic configurations can be made. Then using the same method, the grinding wheels with matrix configuration, dislocation configuration and disordered configuration were also done.Then, the grinding force mathematical model of the phyllotaxis configuration was optimized based on the predecessors’ research, the grinding force mathematical model of matrix configuration and dislocation configuration were also given. The data of the grinding experiment in this paper was used for test these models.In addition, the grinding force experiment was carried out and the date under different parameters was collected. It is shown that the force of the ordering configuration is smaller than the disordering configuration while the phyllotaxis configuration grinding wheel is smaller than the other type ordering configurations.In the end, the wear of the grinding wheels with different configurations was investigated. The wear of the wheels had been compared after measuring the radial of the grinding wheel wear respectively. It is shown that the wear of the phyllotaxis configuration grinding wheel is smaller than the other configurations under the same accumulated material removal.
