In this paper, a type vehicle electronic instrument meter cover is regarded as the researchobject based on injection mold CAD/CAE technology. The paper completes the integraldesign of the injection mold, structural optimization and analysis of injection molding process.At the same time, it puts forward the solutions for the problems in the process of design andanalysis, eliminates the previous disadvantages according to the experience design, achievesthe purpose of improve the competitiveness of enterprise market, reduces the production cost,improves product quality and yield, shortens the die design and manufacturing cycle.Meanwhile, it also provides technical reference for later injection mold production.In order to optimize the mold design and improve the quality of products, it simulates theinjection molding process, draws mould stress layout diagram of Injection molding process,predicts possible product defects, analyses appropriation of injection molding processconditions, finds out the influencing factors on the quality of the products, and analyses theinfluence of various factors. By introducing CAE technology, the problem can be found that itadjusts the design scheme as soon as possible and timely at the beginning of the mould designto avoid the waste of raw materials and rework phenomenon, thus reducing the productioncost and improving the quality of products and market competitiveness.The integral design of the injection mould is completed by Solidworks software based onMPI the rapid test analysis.In order to revised mould design, the injection molding process issimulated by using MPI module of Moldflow analysis software to complete the injection flow,melt cooling and warping deformation analysis, the plastic parts warp distortion is acquiredquantitatively, and the possible product defects is predicted. Finally, on the basis oforthogonal experiment, buckling deformation in different injection time, injection temperature,mold temperature, pressure, holding time are analyzed and comparised, poor analyzes to thetest results are completed, bucking deformation under different injection molding processparameters of products is attained to find out the optimum parameters of the injection moldingprocess, and the actual production also provides technical guidance for later.
