Hot metal car is the model that derived from the logistics and transport in metallurgical industry, mainly responsible for the transportation of hot metal. The main mode of transportation include the railway transportation, trailer transportation and hydraulic transportation, the hydraulic hot metal car has a strong reliability and high carrying capacity, it overcomes the traditional problem of transportation such as low speed and loading, large turning radius, large area to transport and other shortcomings. The hydraulic hot metal car has a wide application in the current market of the iron transportation and it becomes the trend for hot metal transportation in metallurgical industry.The excellent electro-hydraulic control system and reliable mechanical structure guarantee the long-term reliable transportation, This paper focuses on the body structure, steering adjustment system and suspension systems of the whole hydraulic hot metal car. The main research contents are as follows:(1) Analyze the key component of the car, mainly analyze and research on the frame structure and improve the structure to ensure the safety driving. Using ANSYS to analyze the static of the frame and get the result to find the weak points of the structure.(2) The modal analysis of hot metal car was performed to confirm the distribution of structural vibration. Calculation and analysis of the excitation frequency from the road and engine in order to provides the basis for the dynamic design requirements.(3) The theoretical analysis for deviation phenomenon of the steering system, improves the design to change the low precision, complex operations and other issues of the existing deviation system. Using co-simulation by ADAMS and AMESim software to simulate and analysis the automatically adjusts system.(4) Analyze the reasons for the low accuracy of synchronization of suspension systems and study the key factors of the hot metal car, and propose a new hydraulic pressure tracing system to eliminate the influence of the accumulator. Using AMESim software and experimental studies to verify the effectiveness of the improved system.(5) Using data acquisition software and tools to collect the data of the steering system and suspension systems to verify the theoretical design that is reasonable through experiments.The results of this paper have a reference value and practical engineering significance to lighting the weight of the hot metal car, improving the precision of driving and the body lift synchronization.
