This paper is about the designing of Embedded control system of rapier loom.The rapier loom is a kind of highly automated loom machinery, the core part of the machine is control system,which generates instructions following the requests of weaving and the synchronized signals from the machine to make it work automatically.Based on the anasysis of construction and function of the loom system,the project proposes a design of an embedded control system based on ARM, CPLD and application software for the rapier loom.This control system consists of hardware platform and software platform The hardware platform includes core application system circuit,implementing circuit of process,.Specifically,S3C44B0 processor based on ARM7TDMI core of Samsung is applied as CPU.for the problem,CPLD chips as the expensions to form the implementing circuit of process.the software platform includes Boot loader,device driver and so on. The software platform includes the application program based on ARM and program to achieve the logical circuit in CPLD.At last, some measures are took to guarantee the stability of systemComputerized to traditional control systems based on MCU or PLC,this project processes the properities of paper design and highly integrated control ability,high performance/price ratio,and first class versatility, Embedded control system of rapier loom is the developing trend of textile industry,and it will be very competitive in the market.
