Petroleum industry for the sustainable development of human society is one of basic industries.With the increasing economic and social development in China, petroleum resources shortage has bottlenecked the sustainable development in our country.The lubricating oil is an important petroleum product.The regeneration of waste lubricating oil has been widely studied by scientific researchers and engineers.At present, based on various waste lubricating oil, different regeneration requirements and higher economic and environmental indexes, there are many waste lubricating oil regeneration techniques. How to choose the most appropriate technique to regenerate waste lubricating oil are becoming a puzzle to many researchers and engineers. So decision support system was introduced to the field of the regeneration of waste lubricating oil, the theory frame of the decision support system for the regeneration of waste lubricating oil process was proposed.The system provides users with good man-machine interface, a proper regeneration of waste lubricating oil process can be determined based on degree of contamination of waste lubricating oil.The front desk developing instrument of this system used Visual Basic 6.0 programme language, and backstage supporter's database used SQL Server 2000.Adopting Client/Server Pattern, to access to SQL Server 2000 database with activex Data Objects.The waste lubricating oil basic database was established, and the functions of data input,data inquiry,editing were also realized. Most importantly, model Base—the core component of this DSS—was studied and developed in the effort.The degree of contamination of waste lubricating oil model was developed based on fuzzy synthetic evaluation, and a proper regeneration of waste lubricating oil process model was developed based on AHP.By building the regeneration of waste lubricating oil process selection on the basis of data base and model base, get change suggestions for lubricating oil to use, then based on degree of contamination of waste lubricating oil,regeneration requirements, a proper regeneration of waste lubricating oil process can be determined. The system was designed for the regeneration of waste lubricating oil with man-machine interface and excellent practice ability.It would well serve to promote the level of the regeneration of waste lubricating oil management and decision-making.
