Study On Assay Of The Total Flavonoids In Flos Rosae Rugosae

For better development and utilization of Flos Rosae Rugosae resources and to consummate the quality specification of Flos Rosae Rugosae, We have carried out systematical study about qualitation and quantification analytical method of total flavonoids in Flos Rosae Rugosae.Use TLC method for identification of quercetin and kaempferol which were hydrolyzed from total flavonol glycosides in Flos Rosae Rugosae,and use RP-HPLC to determine the content of total flavonols in Flos Rosae Rugosae from different habitats; use TLC method for identification of anthocyanins and use the simple and available content assaying method—PH differential method which was globally accepted to determine the content of total anthocyanins in cultivars of Flos Rosae Rugosae from different habitats; also use RP-HPLC method for preliminary fingerprint study of Rosa rugosa,use 360 nm for detection of total flavonol glycosides,and try to determine the content of rutin,hyperoside and quercitrin in Flos Rosae Rugosae from different habitats.The results indicate that:there were obvious differences on total flavonoids either about types or about amounts in cultivars of Flos Rosae Rugosae.The method established in our study was convenient,useful,with high accuracy and specificity, can be used for variety certification and quality control of total flavonoids in Flos Rosae Rugosae.To sum up, results of this study are expected to be very useful for comprehensive utilization of Rose resources,and can also bring a positive effect on new drug development.
