For better development and utilization of Rosae Rugosae Flos resources and to consummate the quality specification of Rosae Rugosae Flos,we have carried out systematical study about it's chemical basic research, and have separated and purified the effective parts of roses.Researching it's flavonoids and polysaccharides, inorder to probe into the herbal medicine material base and its application. We have a preliminary research on it's chemical composition. The structures of seven compounds were identified by chromatography and spectroscopic analysis, mainly organic acids and flavonoids. They are Gallic acid(1),Caffeic acid(2),Luteolin(3),Quercetin(4),Pinocembrin-7-O-β-D-glucopy-ranoside(5),Quercetin-4'-O-β-D-glucoside(6),Acacetin-7- -O-rutinoside(7).The experiment have layed a solid fundation for studying it's chemical basic research. We have investigated the methods of extracting flavonoids of roses, taking the single factor and orthogonal test method of combining the total flavonoids ingredients of roses. We have studied the extraction and separation process and have obtained stable technical parameters.Comparing the flavonoids contents of seven different varieties of roses. Results show that the total flavonoids component content of different species of roses have obvious difference. The author examine the contents of polysaccharide of different kinds of roses, with glucose as standard product.Established the content determination methods. The analysis method is repeated and good credibility. The aim was to study vitro anfibacterial activity of effective fractions of roses. The crude extracts showed high antibacterial activity,to further activity tracking provide the basis of its chemical composition and orientation.
