AIM:To establish a method for determination of hydrochlorothiazide and rutin in Zhenjujiangya Tablets (Flos Chrysanthemi Indici, hydrochlorothiazide, rutin, etc.) by HPLC. METHODS:YWG C18 column and the mobile phase of Ammonium acetate sodium perchloeate-acetonitrile(84:16)(pH adjusted to 2.5 with Glacial acetic acid) was used. The flow rate was 1.0 mL-min-1. The detection wavelength was at 260 nm. Injection sample amount was 20 mL. RESULTS:A good linear relationship and average recovery rate for hydrochlorothiazide were achieved, which were 4.403176~220.1588 mg/mL (r=0.9996) and 98.9%(RSD=0.83%, n =6) respectively, mennwhile, those of rutin were 41.3042~413.042 mg·mL-1(r= 0.9999) and 99.9%(RSD=1.32%, n=6) respectively. CONCLUSION:The method was rapid, simple, accurate and reproducible. This method is suitable for the determination of the two components in the compound tablets.
