| [Objective]The safety and efficacy of Chinese herbs (ShenShuai Mixture) had been well established for the prevention and treatment in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). ShenShuai Mixture was developed to provide a convenient dosage form for secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages3 and stages4. [Methods]1. All the patients who were selected in the research were from nephropathy department of Wuhan first hospital. They were all Qi-deficiency by Traditional Chinese Medicine. 60 cases were selected in the research,30 cases in therapy team and 30 cases in comparison team. Two randomized, phase-2 trials were conducted in patients with stages 3 and 4 CKD. Enrollment criteria included an estimated glomerular filtration rate between 15 and 60 mL/min/1.73 m~2 .2.All the patients were divided into therapy team and comparison team according to the administer of ShenShuai Mixture for one month at least or not. Therapy group(30 cases) was treated with rutine western medicine and Chinese herbs(ShenShuai Mixture) therapy for one month, and comparison group(30 cases) was treated with rutine western medicine.There were no differences in sex,age ,course of disease, the original notification, kidney function between the two groups(P>0.05). The treatment time was composed one month.3. Observing the change of PTH, Clearence of creatinine rate(Ccr),serum calcium, serum phosphorus ,serum urea nitrogen, serum creatin, hemoglobin in patients before and after treatment in order to compare the curative effects.4.The symptoms, signs, dietary energy intake, dietary protein intake was also observed before and after the treatment.5.Comparison was done between the two groups to observe the change of every target in patients before and after treatment.6.Comparison was done between therapy team and comparison team to observe curative effects and change of every target in patients before and after treatment. |
