| Isolation and identification of different chemical constituents from Saxifraga stolonifera (L) Meeb. and the seeds of Terminalia chebula Retz. was described in the present investigation.Nineteen compounds were isolated from the two medical plants by the means of traditional phytochemical methods. Among them, fifteen compounds were identified by spectroscopic analysis and physicochemical data, six of them were obtained from these plants for the first time.From Saxifraga stolonifera (L) Meeb., 14 compounds were obtained and 11 of them were identified as stearone (Fec-1),β-sitosterol (Fec-4), hentriacontane (Fec-8), bergenin (Fec-9), nonacosane (Fec-10), protocate chuic acid (Fec-11), quercitrin 3-O-rhamnoside (Fec-12), gallic acid (Fec-14), quercetin (Fec-15), triethylamine hydrochloride (Fec-16), quercetin 3-O-glucopyranoside (Fec-18) by chemical and spectroscopic methods. Among them, stearone (Fec-1),β-sitosterol (Fec-4), hentriacontane (Fec-8), nonacosane (Fec-10), triethylamine hydrochloride (Fec-16) were isolated from Saxifraga stolonifera (L) Meeb. for the first time.From Terminalia chebula Retz., five compounds were obtained by the means of silica gel column chromatography. And four of them were characterized by chemical and spectroscopic means as C24H49-O-C24H49 (Hz-1), gallic acid (Hz-2), protocate chuic acid (Hz-4), methyl gallate (Hz-5). Among them, C24H49-O-C24H49 (Hz-1) was isolated for the first time from the seeds of Terminalia chebula Retz. |
