| ObjectiveObserving the curative effect of the traditional Chinese herb medicineBXHJ on the disease of chronic congestive heart failure, and throughclinical experiment, probing the impact of BXHJ on the relatedneuroendocrine factors and heart function of the CHF patients.Methods:1.60 patients of CHF coming from the outpatient department andinpatient department were divided randomly into two groups: the controlgroup (only treated with western medicine) and the treatmentgroup(treated with BXHJ as well as western medicine),there were 60patients in each group without significant difference in sex, age, symptompattern, basic diseases and the grade of heart function between twogroups(P＞0.05).The treatment period of two groups was two weeks.2.Observing the symptoms, signs and total effective ratios beforeand after the treatment, making a statistical disposal and comparing thecurative effect.3.The blood-routine, urine-routine, stool-routine, blood viscosity,lever function and kidney function were examined to judge if the BXHJhad any side-effect or toxicity.4.Making ultrasonic examination on the patients'hearts before andafter the treatment in order to compare the changes of LVEF,SV,CO. 5.Plasma BNP,ET and CGRP were tested by radioiaununaossaymethod before and after the treatment.Results1.The symptoms and signs of the patients of the two groups after thetreatment were better than those before the treatment (P＜0.01). There wasno significant difference in statistics(p＞0.05),but when comparingbetween the two groups, the significant control rate 63.3％and the totaleffective rate 86.7％of the treatment group was obviously better than thatof the control group(whose significant control rate was 36.7％,totaleffective rate was 70％) (P＜0.05)and there was sinificant differencebetween them.2.After treatment both the two groups had better results concerningthe index with indication of the systolic function of the left ventricularincluding SV, LVEF; especially for the improvement of LVEF and COin the treatment group, when compared with that of thecontrol group, there was significant difference(P＜0.01);comparedwith before treatment, the two groups had better results concerning thediastole function of the left ventricular after the treatment.3.Compared with before treatment,both groups had significantdifferences in the contents of BNP,ET,CGRP in the plasma after thetreatment. Compared with after treatment, there was significant differencein declining the contents of ET and increasing CGRP,however, there was no significant difference in declining BNP.Conclusion1. BXHJ has a constant effect on the CHF patients in the Clinicalpractice: it could relieve the symptoms and signs of congestive heartfailure caused by different kinds of basic heart diseases, without anyside-effects and toxicity2. BXHJ can effectively improve the systolic function and diastolicfunction of the left ventricular and then improved the supply of blood ofthe organic body and relieve the symptoms caused by the lack of bloodsupply.3. The mechanism of BXHJ could be that it put down the contents ofBNP,ET and increase CGRP in the blood plasma by regulatingneuroendocrine factors and in this way it could protect theventriculomegaly cells and improve heart function. |
