Shanghan Zabing Lun was a medical work written by zhangzhongjingelaboratelly who combined TCM basic theory with clinical practices. Because thetheory and priscription was effective in clinical practices, So it was highly thoughtof by the medical expert of all dynasties and was regard as the TCM classics.prescription of guizhitang is the first in shanghanlun, because it could be added orreduced some drugs as the illness became better or bad. So it became a big Guizhitangseries .this article set forth the guizhitang and its series deeply from TCM basic theory, and discussed its rule of application in clinic. The first chapter discusses: By textual research we compared the similarities anddifferences of some prescriptions in Fuxingjue Zangfu-organs Yongyao Fayao andShanghan Lun,and discussed the historical origins of the guizhitang and its series inShanghan Lun, So we considered that the prescription of guizhitang and its serieswere derived from TangYeJingFa combined with clinical experiences of exogenousfebrile disease and endogenous miscellaneous diseases by zhangzhongjing. The second chapter discusses:We sort guizhitang and its series six categories inclinical application which are based on the scratch the pathogenesis oftheirs:coordinating nutritive Qi and defensive Qi,defending YangQi,tonifyingZhongjiano, calming mind, warming YangQi and moving body fluid, relieving ofdistension and fullness in the abdomen. We'll illustrate in detail skillful application ofeach of prescriptions in clinic. The article researched deeply_Cassia twig and Root of herbaceous peony inGuizhi Tang. Throuhg discussing the close relation between Qi and blood - defensiveQi belong to Qi, nurtitive Qi belong to blood, defensive Qi belong to Yang, nurtiviveQi belong to Yin the artical demonstrated that Cassia twig and Root of herbaceouspeony could regulate Qi and blood so as to regulate Yin and Yang. Cassia twigpertained to Heart Channel and producted Yang, pertained to Lung Channel andregulated Qi; Root of herbaceous peony pertained to Spleen Channel and reconciled nurtivive Qi, pertained to Liver Channel and moved blood. So Zhongjing usually usedCassia twig and Root of herbaceous peony as a gemination Chinese drug in othercorrelative prescriptions to treat multiple endogenous miscellaneous diseases whichwas imitated by offspring. If intermingled other Chinese drugs, the prescription willbe applied more widely. The third chapter discusses: Guizhi tang and its series widely used in mordenclinic. They may apply to respiratory system, blood circulation system, immunesystem, endocrine system, digestive system, urinary system, nervous system, integumentary system, osteoarthropathy etc.At the end,the chapter discusses:Experimental research indicates that Guizhitang and its series have thermolysis,anti-inflammatory effect,calm,immunity,two-direction adjustment,antibiosis,diuresis,anti-rheumatic action,anti-mutationeffect,antithrombotic action, antianaphylaxis and so on.Shanhan Lunyi written by Keyun Bo said: "Zhongjing constitute therapeutic rulecan treat all kinds of disease which blong to six meridians.it needed Only to lookafter the basic therapeutic rule around six meridians, not to seek peripheraltherapeutic rule about the name of illness. "Yixue Dushu Zhi written by Caoyin Pusaid:"Exogenous febrile diseases and miscellaneous diseases were treated with thesame therapeutic rule, and to any illness prescribing are all accord to the sixmeridians.so we said:the contribution is great." From above discussions aboutGuizhi Tang and its series it can demonstrate that what the ancients said is right.
