Danshen Point Injection Treatment Of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Clinical Research

The thesis consists two parts:the literature review and the clinical research.The literature review includes two parts. The first one introduces the treatment progress of TCM in diabetic peripheral neurophathy (DPN) in recent 10 years. It includes the pathogens and pathogenesis, the treatments applying with the pattern identification, the special treatments of herbs, the treatments of Chinese prepared medicine, the herbs immersing therapy, the treatment of acupuncture, acupoint injection therapy and so on. The second one is about the elementary and clinical research progress of the disease in recent years. It includes the cause research and treatment methods. The cause of diabetic peripheral neurophathy (DPN) has not clearly expounded up to now. A lot of medicine is used in clinic, but the curative effect is not so good, especially for the serious patients.Clinical research abstract Objective:to observe therapeutic effects of Danshen injection for diabetic peripheral neurophathy (DPN)by acupoint injection therapy. Methods:65 DPN patients were randomly grouped to treated group (33 cases) and control group (32 cases). In addition to basic hypoglycemic medication, the treated group (33 cases) selected acupoints①Zusanli (ST36),Sanyinjiao (SP6),Kunlun (BL60);②Yanglingquan(GB34),Fenglong(ST40), Xuanzhong (GB 39)with Danshen injection by acupoint injection therapy(the two groups of acupoints used alternately, bilateral).The control group selected acupoints (bilateral) Zusanli (ST36),Sanyinjiao (SP6),Kunlun (BL60),Yanglingquan (GB34),Fenglong (ST40),Xuanzhong (GB 39) with acupuncture.Parameters investigated included clinical symptoms,nerve conduction velocity,hemorrheology and the content of erythrocyte sorbitol before and after the treatment. Results:the total effective rate of the treated group was 86.67% and the control group was 66.67%. Statistical analysis showed that there was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).And the results also showed Danshen acupoint injection can increase the velocity of conduction of motor nerve and sensory nerve in the anticnemion;improve the clinical symptom of nervous system,shch as numbness,pain,paresthesia in various degrees, adjust the hemorheological abnormity and degrade the content of erythrocyte sorbitol. Conclusion:the therapeutic effect of treating DPN by Danshen acupoint injection(Danshen, Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge) is significant.
