Objective : To observe the clinical effect of treatment on constipation in old patients with Mixture of Bian sai tong.Methods : 82 constipation in the elderly patient were randomly divided intoexperimental group and control group, n = 41; Mixture of Bian sai tong which will test the experimental group, treatment 30mltid; the control group Maren Pills 30mltid; treatment 6g tid. The duration of treatment was two weeks, and was followed up for half a year. Observation of the two groups the times of defecation in a week, defecation interval; excrementitious shape; And the sense of defecation and effort each defecation. Applied Statistics, the results of statistical analysis software SPSS13.0, p <0.05 was statistically significant.Results : The two groups of patients before and after the main evidence thatthere were significant differences in changes in the experimental group the times of defecation in a week, defecation interval; excrementitious shape; And the sense of defecation and effort each defecation improved significantly better than in the control group, there are significant differences (p <0.05). Efficacy of a comprehensive analysis of the two groups were significantly different between the two groups (P <0.05), the experimental group than the control group. The total efficiency of 97.4% for the experimental group.Conclusion : The Mixture of Bian sai tong can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of senile constipation .
