This thesis mainly consults symonymly monosyllable and disyllable adverbsin madarin. I classifies three categories: A. primary form andreduplicated form, B. simple form and affixal form, C. monosyllabic formand compounding form. Four parts that compose the thesis are as follows:The first chapter focuses on the differences between primary form andreduplicated form. The differences in syntactic functions are shown in3 respects: the coordination of syllables , the attachment of suffix andthe positional order. The main differences in semantic functions areindicated in 2 respects:degree and meaning quantity. The differences inpragmatic functions are shown in 2 respects:style and tone.The second part compare simple form and affixal form.The third chapteranalyses monosyllabic form and compounding form. The main differencesbetween them are indicated in 3 respects: syntactic functions, syntacticfunctions and pragmatic functions.In the last one, I consult the changing course of monosyllable adverbsto disyllable adverbs from diachronic angles, and discuss the conditionsand reasons of by prosody and cognitive theory. |
